In 2001, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), once the largest Muslim charity in the United States, was designated by the federal government as a terrorist organization for their support to Hamas. In 2004, the organization and seven of its leaders were indicted in Dallas on charges stemming from the millions of dollars sent by the defendants, under the guise of charity, to Hamas front organizations in the West Bank and Gaza. In 2008, after a six week trial, the defendants were found guilty. Come hear Barry Jonas, one of the prosecutors on the HLF case, tell the story of the HLF trial, a case that remains significant to this day.
